Hi! I'm Alexis - a wedding photographer and mother to a wild three year old boy. I was born and raised in Ohio, and am currently based out of the small, charming town of Somerset. In my free time, you can find me hanging out with my family, going on adventures, or finding any reason to have my camera out.

I began doing photography over 15 years ago, discovering my true passion in a high school photography class, using a point and shoot camera and film. Over time, that passion grew into something bigger; a calling to capture the love, joy, and raw emotion that make life unforgettable.

Now, I get to spend my days documenting love stories in a way that feels true and meaningful. For me, photography isn't just about taking pictures- it's about preserving your story in a way that will always bring you back to the way it felt that day!

My approach

 

My approach is a bit different from what you may have seen at other weddings. I focus on allowing the couples to fully enjoy their day with minimal direction or disruption. For most of the day, I generally take a documentary-style approach, capturing genuine candid moments as they naturally unfold.


My goal is for you to remember your wedding exactly as it happened, not as it was staged.


There is certainly a time for beautifully composed, creative portraits of you and your partner. But that shouldn't be during key moments like a cake cutting or first look. Instead, we will plan a dedicated portrait session where we can step away briefly and capture those timeless shots!
